Navigation
- formulas :
distance, true course (bearing) loxodrome (rhumb line)
and orthodrome greatcircle sailing
You
have to insert ( for departure and arrival points ) : latitude and
longitude (degrees- minutes-seconds) "-degrees ..... " for
south latitude or for west longitude.
example :
latitude
10° 25' 18" North - longitude :
30° 52' 54" West
You obtain :
true course (rhumb
line-loxodrome)
and distance in nautical miles
choosing " to
finish "
= (option) 2 - than "mode 1 comp" - alpha O shows the
orthodromic distance
choosing
" to continue " = (option) 1 you can go to waypoint 2 and
so on - at the last waypoint choosing "
to finish " =
(option) 2 - than "mode 1 comp" - alpha O shows the
orthodromic
distance between the last two points and alpha U shows the
total
sum of the loxodromic distances

-
degrees ........" for
south latitude
star declination
: (degrees-
minutes-seconds) "
-degrees
....." for
south decl.
polar angle : (degrees-
minutes-seconds) , "
-degrees
...." for west polar angle
example : latitude
= 10° 47'
24" North - declination
= 22° 12' 18" South
You obtain :
estimated
altitude and
azimuth.
choosing " to continue
"= (option) 1 you can insert declination and polar angle for another
celestial body
